From the minute you enter the Town Hall, with its large open lounge, original coal fires and old artifacts – you know that any events that take place there are going to be good.

Last week’s event “Volunteer Get Involved” was an idea of the Lord Mayor of Liverpool (Erika Kemp) who wanted to promote all charity activity in the city.
That idea was brought to fruition with the support and dedication of a Team of Charity Managers brought together to design, plan and deliver the whole day.

We played our part. We had the opportunity to share our expert knowledge on “Using Social Media for your Charity”, which was delivered via two 45 minute sessions. Basic & advanced practices in Twitter.

Both sessions went well and allowed us to meet charity organisations who simply needed half hour of somebody’s time to point them in the right direction or confirm if they are on the right track.

We also had a stall in the master rooms on the higher level that allowed us to promote our business and our support for 3rd sector organisations. And as always – Digital Config managed to get some picture time with Erika Kemp (Above) Lord Mayor of Liverpool herself as we were thanked for joining in and helping them make their day a success.

The day ended with a well deserved awards ceremony that showed appreciation for those that give a lot to their communities for little in return. Awards for best Trustee, CEO and Volunteer of the Year were just a few of many awards given out throughout those last few hours.

Overall the day was extremely enjoyable very successful and an honor for us to be involved in.
