From the start we have supported charities within the merseyside area. We have helped with IT systems, web development and graphic design.
It has been one of our objectives to support local charities and community groups (cic’s) which in-turn will inevitably support and work with the community surrounding the charity or community group.
We have been supporting a local charity for the past 24 months. The charity is Families Fighting For Justice which supports families and family members that have lost a loved one to acts of homicide and culpable road death.
Before we discuss the donation – we would like to explain why the decision was made.
A couple of years ago we visited Families Fighting For Justice, a local charity based within the Liverpool town centre that provides support to individuals and families who have lost a loved one through manslaughter/culpable road death.
From the moment we entered the building we knew that like many other charity organisations they needed our support regarding their IT, Internet Marketing and offline Printable Media.
We initially helped FFFJ with their IT. We installed a brand new IT data system and implemented a secure data solution to safeguard the sensitive information kept on file that needed to be following the security standards set out and enforced by governing bodies.
Next we updated the current websites as a temporary measure so they were functioning/stable enough while we plan a new build on a WordPress platform that is much easier and user friendly than the self built CMS (Content Management Systems) in place.
Note:
At the time of writing this blog – we have successfully transferred the OLLY website to WordPress, which has been greatly welcomed by the visitors and charity members.
Finally we updated the charities branding for their children’s group OLLY to bring it up to date with the direction the charity is now heading towards.
Since we did the above:
- The charity has grown from strength to strength. Their productivity has increased with the new IT solutions that has speeded up operations.
- The new OLLY website has enabled the charity to further showcase their support they provide to the community.
- Since the updated branding of the OLLY group – they are now being recognised more as a local charity and awareness is currently growing at a rapid pace.
The donation:
Now that the charity operations are running efficiently and we have had time to witness the support they provide – DigitalConfig are in the position to make a donation. We pledge £2,000 as a well deserved investment into the future of both Families Fighting for Justice and OLLY.
We know that what we invest now will contribute to the continuing growth of the charity enabling them to support more families for many years to come.
