As you know – we are a digital company that provides web design services to businesses in Liverpool and further a field.

Just like any other business – we always like to be where the action is because of this simple yet effective equation:

More action (HARD WORK) = More Contacts/Knowledge = More Revenue

Ironically – because were techies, you may expect us to be behind a computer 24/7 using social media and online solutions to engage with contacts and potential customers.

We do our best to update our online networks as much as possible, but ultimately we find that a majority of our customers have placed their trust in us and made DigitalConfig their preferred web design service provider because of direct contact and word of mouth.

Unless you plan on running an automated e-commerce website selling products or services to consumers, having the best looking website is still not enough and only makes up part of your marketing strategy. For business to business sales networking events are key.

So we, like many others turn to good old Google search to find Business Networking Events in Liverpool and we don’t see that many. Constantly changing the way we phrase our search we still run into the small minority of events available, expired events that no longer take place or dead ends.

Liverpool has long been known for one of the places to be for business, yet it lacks opportunity with regards to business engagement and interaction. It seems that business networking events tend to take place a lot more in the surrounding cities like Manchester, Birmingham than in our own city.

After witnessing this for a period of time. We knew that this weeks blog had to be based on the places in Liverpool that we visit on a regular basis to showcase our web design solutions.

We see this as a starting point for new and existing businesses in Liverpool who are ready to public face to grow their contacts, knowledge and customer base.

Advanced: BNI

We recently wrote a blog post about the BNI experience – See Here

But basically it’s a networking group that is based on the theory of “givers gain”. Those who give shall receive and so forth.

Helping each-other, having somewhere to belong and being part of a close network is ultimately why the BNI project began and continues to grow at a rapidly in today’s marketing industry.

Only last week – we heared that another local chapter within the BNI network made a staggering £6m last year making each seat in their group to be worth an estimated £300,000, which goes to show that investing into the BNI experience is well worth it due to the potential gain.

We recommend that before signing up for BNI – you do the following:

1. Visit the above and other small networking events to gain experience and contacts.

2. Make sure that your business is running efficiently, all paperwork is in place and your in a position to take on more customers.

3. Look over the yearly membership cost and see what amount of services you need to sell to break even and enter into profit.BNI also offer businesses the opportunity to visit the different chapters before making a final decision and which chapter is suitable for them and signing on the dotted line.
